ON-LINE GIVING
Dlbc is pleased to announce the introduction of an electronic option for making regular offerings. Contributions can now be debited automatically from your checking or savings account (or processed using your debit card). Our new electronic giving program offers convenience for you and much-needed donation consistency for our congregation.
If you are currently giving on a weekly basis, you will no longer need to write out 52 checks a year or prepare 52 envelopes. And, when travel, illness or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, this program will allow your weekly offerings to continue on an uninterrupted basis.
The link to the On-Line Giving is the red "GIVE NOW" button under the picture of DLBC on the home page of the church web site. We will also have authorization forms to fill out and turn in to the church office if you want DLBC to automatically debit your checking or savings account on a regular basis. "Frequently Asked Questions" brochures will be available at the Welcome Center in the lobby also.

Come join us on Wednesday Evenings for a mid-week boost! We have prayer time
and currently we are studying Apologetics. This has nothing to do with apologies! Instead,
it is using reason and logic to prove a premise. This class is helpful for anchoring your beliefs
and also helpful for dealing with those who don't trust the Bible yet. Topics such as Does God Exist?
Is the Bible Trustworthy?
House of Prayer
"My House shall be called A HOUSE OF PRAYER"
---Jesus
1 Dynamic Key to Prayer: Understand and Practice 3 Foundations
3 steps:
a. Practice prayer as a Relationship - God created us for a relationship with Himself; therefore, the primary purpose of prayer is to know God intimately by experience.
b. Pray consistently about our Kingdom purpose - Pray regularly for your Kingdom assignment. God assigns each of us a purpose assignment for his Kingdom.
c. Pray with a biblical Mind-set - Your mind-set/attitude impacts whether or not you experience joy in your walk with God.
In short, pray by focusing on God, his character, ways, attributes, , likes and dislikes. Read Psalm 103 and praise His name as you read it and pray.
"There's no telling what God can do when God's people begin to Pray." (from "When God's People Pray by Jim Cymbala"
2 Chronicles 7:14 "Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land."
Thursday May 3, 2012 is the National Day of Prayer. The Worship Center will be open from 8am - 5pm for anyone that would like to stop by and pray. We will also have the Worship Center open for prayer on Wednesday Evening May 2, 2012 from 6pm - 6:45pm for those who work and may not be able to come and pray on the 3rd.
"I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust!" Psalm 91:2
God's Word is full of His promises. Psalm 138 vs 2 says "I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name."
As you pray, ask the Holy spirit to pour Himself into your life, to manifest Himself in new, fresh, and more powerful ways. Thank God for His faithfulness in hearing the prayers of His obedient people and for fulfilling the promises found in His Word. Then begin praying back those promises to our God who delights in answering the prayers of His people.
Copies of some of God's promises are available at the Welcome Center in the Lobby.
