AMAZING WONDERS AVIATION VBS
Get Ready for Takeoff with our "AMAZING WONDERS AVIATION" week of Vacation Bible School July 16-20 from 5:45pm - 8:45pm. Look for the "AMAZING WONDERS AVIATION" icon on our Home Page, click it and then you may register each of your children on-line. We need the grade they have just finished. This year's VBS is grouped by grades and so we will have the schedules set up for Kindergarden, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. We will be having a Pre-school VBS this year but will limit the number to the first 30 children to register. Pre-school is for four and five year olds that have not completed Kindergarden. Our Student Pastor, Pastor Adam will also have a VBS program for Middle School Students in the 6th - 8th grades. DLBC members must pre-register as we will not be registering children on the first night of VBS . The deadline for registration is July 8, 2012. You must be a member or regular attender of DLBC to be a volunteer and must have completed 8th Grade. We do background checks on volunteers who are 18 and older that work with our children and students. Volunteers must be registered by June 24th so we know how many children to place in groups per Rotation Group Leader and so we can have all background checks sent in and completed. We are planning for up to 250 kids this year so we are praying and thanking God for each leader and volunteer that will be helping.
Please begin to register now. We will have a computer upstairs at the Children's Welcome Desk for you to register your children on Sunday Mornings before and after services. There are also registration forms on the Welocme Center desk in the main lobby if that is more convenient for you.

TeamKID
The DLBC Children's Ministry is beginning a new program on Sunday September 4, 2011 called "TeamKID". KID stands for "Kids In Discipleship". We will start the program during 1st Service Children's Church, continue with the program through the Sunday School teaching, and then repeat the main lesson in 2nd Service Children's Church. Parents must register their children to participate in TeamKID. We will also continue the program on Wednesday eveinings and we are changing the time to be from 6pm - 7:30pm . TeamKID is also only for children 5 years of age up through 5th grade. Four year olds will be able to attend Children's Church and then they will go to the Nursery/Pre-school building for their Sunday School time and on Wednesday Nights.
For the first year your children will be learning about different Bible characters that represent Godly characters such as Righteousness, Honesty, Responsibility, Kindness, and much more.
We are very excited about this new program and we pray that you will be too.

ON-LINE GIVING
Dlbc is pleased to announce the introduction of an electronic option for making regular offerings. Contributions can now be debited automatically from your checking or savings account (or processed using your debit card). Our new electronic giving program offers convenience for you and much-needed donation consistency for our congregation.
If you are currently giving on a weekly basis, you will no longer need to write out 52 checks a year or prepare 52 envelopes. And, when travel, illness or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, this program will allow your weekly offerings to continue on an uninterrupted basis.
The link to the On-Line Giving is the red "GIVE NOW" button under the picture of DLBC on the home page of the church web site. We will also have authorization forms to fill out and turn in to the church office if you want DLBC to automatically debit your checking or savings account on a regular basis. "Frequently Asked Questions" brochures will be available at the Welcome Center in the lobby also.

House of Prayer
"My House shall be called A HOUSE OF PRAYER"
---Jesus
1 Dynamic Key to Prayer: Understand and Practice 3 Foundations
3 steps:
a. Practice prayer as a Relationship - God created us for a relationship with Himself; therefore, the primary purpose of prayer is to know God intimately by experience.
b. Pray consistently about our Kingdom purpose - Pray regularly for your Kingdom assignment. God assigns each of us a purpose assignment for his Kingdom.
c. Pray with a biblical Mind-set - Your mind-set/attitude impacts whether or not you experience joy in your walk with God.
In short, pray by focusing on God, his character, ways, attributes, , likes and dislikes. Read Psalm 103 and praise His name as you read it and pray.
"There's no telling what God can do when God's people begin to Pray." (from "When God's People Pray by Jim Cymbala"
2 Chronicles 7:14 "Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land."
Thursday May 3, 2012 is the National Day of Prayer. The Worship Center will be open from 8am - 5pm for anyone that would like to stop by and pray. We will also have the Worship Center open for prayer on Wednesday Evening May 2, 2012 from 6pm - 6:45pm for those who work and may not be able to come and pray on the 3rd.
"I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust!" Psalm 91:2
God's Word is full of His promises. Psalm 138 vs 2 says "I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name."
As you pray, ask the Holy spirit to pour Himself into your life, to manifest Himself in new, fresh, and more powerful ways. Thank God for His faithfulness in hearing the prayers of His obedient people and for fulfilling the promises found in His Word. Then begin praying back those promises to our God who delights in answering the prayers of His people.
Copies of some of God's promises are available at the Welcome Center in the Lobby.
