Pastor Fred Lowry-Bio
Pastor Fred Lowry was born in Denison, Texas in 1954 while his dad was stationed in the Air Force. He grew up as a child in Delaware and then later settled in Chattanooga, Tennessee for his high school years.
While in Tenneessee he attended the University of Tennessee for a brief time majoring in physics and then later transferred to Tennessee Temple University to study for the ministry. He completed a B.S. in math education and later completed a Masters Degree and Ph.D in New Testament Theology. Vikki also has an secondary education degree in music and is currently studying Biblical counseling.
Pastor Fred began ministry work over 34 years ago serving in various positions, from music to education...even serving 6 years as a high school principal. He has now pastored for over 20 years, coming to DLBC as pastor in 1993. His chief hobby is bass fishing. Pastor Fred and Vikki were married June 22, 1973 and have 2 children, Vanessa who attends DBCC pursuing nursing and Veronica who attends Heritage Middle School.
Pastor Allen Foxworth, Associate Pastor/Student Pastor
Pastor Allen Foxworth has been involved with Student Ministry since 1988. He taught in various high schools and middle school from 1979 to 2003 until he moved to Deltona from a church in Baker, LA.
Pastor Allen grew up in New Orleans, LA. He earned his BS degree from University of Southern Mississippi 1979, and his MEd degree from Southeastern Louisiana University 1984. He earned his certification in Guidance and Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1991. He also earned a Masters of Arts in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
He is presently working on D. Ed. Min from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He served in Operation Desert Storm with the 433d Military Police Company in Mainz, Germany.
He is married to Lorna and he has 2 children. Daughter Jessica graduated from Denham Springs High School and Louisiana College. His son Steven graduated from Pine Ridge High School and is currently attending University of Mobile on a four-year basketball scholarship.
